Hello,I am hoping someone would be able to give me Information about Dance especially Classical Ballet in Dubai. I would like to know if dance is popular in the city?does it get support from the community?And have you seen any students perform,have you seen potential in them to become pre-professional to professional dancers?I am not in Dubai so I am unable to find this info,but I do know that there is a few dance schools there,but no professional ballet/dance company.I have asked these questions because I thought of starting a pre professional ballet company for the more advanced students there to give them the opportunity to dance,train and perform as pre professional dancers.Not as students.There is a difference between the two.This would develop them to start a professional dancers career.Its just an idea, I know that it might not seem so great for that region, but I feel it would give opportunities to local talented dancers there. I myself trained and later danced professionally in New York City as a classical ballet dancer for many years. Starting a company will take so much planning and money so im just asking questions for now.I would like to know what you think. I posted this question on Yahoo answers too but hope someone here will be able to advise me.
