Am I a Christian or a Muslim?

I am a true Christian OR a true Muslim?
I used to take ablution before prayer like my Jesus. [Exodus 40:30-1
I prostrate [touching my forehead in ground] during prayer like my
Jesus. [Matthew 26:39, Genesis 17:3, 16:22, 20:6, Joshua 5:14, 7:6, I
Kings 18:42]
Me and my sisters cover our head like veiled women lived around my Jesus. [Genesis 24:64-5]
I used to greet my brothers and sisters like my Jesus by saying
“peace be upon you” [20:19, 1st Samuel 25:6] in Hebrew “shalom alekum”
I am fasting by neither eat nor drink like my Jesus. [Matthew 4:2, 6:16, 17:21, Exodus 34:28]
I keep away from taking or giving interest as opposed by my Jesus. [Deuteronomy 23:19, 23:20]
My brothers are circumcised like my Jesus. [Luke 2:21 and Genesis 17:10-13]
I will never eat pork as forbidden by my Jesus. [Leviticus 11:7-8, Deuteronomy 14:8]
I will never touch alcoholic drinks as my Jesus abstained from it. [6:1-4]
My brothers have beard like my Jesus.
BUT when I follow my Jesus, others say "You are Muslim" WHY?
Why is it like this?....Did anybody think about this? If not, let's start thinking.......

I think this is a great post to bridge the gap between muslims and christians. We are not as different as some people seem to think, I guess.
helloooo, Can anyone please tell me what/whom humans prayed to before
the advent of the 'Messengers'? coz as far as i know, Jesus Christ lived
from 7–2 BC/BCE to 26–36 AD/CE ( http://en.wikipedia.... ) and Prophet Mohammed from about 570 to June 8, 632 ( http://en.wikipedia.... )
Weren't there good and righteous people before that???

Since GOD ALmighty created the earth and human beeing,if we think better beforre any religion to come on the earth Adam (aleyhi wa salaam) and Ibraheem (radiallahu anhu) were praying ONLY TO GOD ALMIGHTY, that means they were a pure muslims, as long as we muslim we pray ONLY TO GOD!Then later on other religions came out with lots of understandings...
who cares if you are muslim or christian... why not keep it to youself....,.
Interesting topic indeed, but please guys be polite in voicing your opinions. We are here as a community, not to insult each other.
All human beeings r born muslims, but the parents will turn them into christians,jewish,and other religions....U must read about Islam so u can understand better the view point about this issue.U must read Tawheed and other Islamic books and u'll see that u were born muslim!
We are happy with what we believe in.
Stop wasting your time here and go and spread your way of life else where.
Religion is Politics. Nothing more.
Muslims are divided by
Sunni and Shiite because of political reasons. Catholics are divided in Orthodox
and Roman because of politics. Why do we need
religion, when all God is asking is to Love and Forgive?
We do need religion in our lives. Religion it's a way of life !

Well to tell you the truth, it not important your religion so much, important is what you have in
your heart.. You
know very well inside of you what you have to do, so do not listen to
everyone what they say. you must do what you FEEL is correct
What I belive is that: Almost all the religion in world is pray like what you said. All religion offer it's beliver in front of GOD. All religion say that don't be bad. No religion say go for drunk. Distory your family. Become a bad man etc
The only thing is that where you born if you born in Cristian family you are cristian if you born in Muslim family you are Muslim. No society allow you to go for other religion.
Above all if you want to go for truth just go and read every religion's book and come with true saying and which will last up to your life here and after the death. I found only one religion that is Islam which guide you through out your life and after the death. Because it based on the Book by the same GOD WHO creat you and HE know you very well.
Regarding cristian and all other religion which came before Islam is also Pray to same GOD but in some place they started mixed other persons or bodies with GOD so GOD rejected all those and final Prophet and final religion send to earth for up to judgement day.
It is just a revolution and if you had guts to change your self. Just change it for Islam and only GOD is ALLHA and Last Prophet is Mohhamed.
For gate about what Muslims are doing now adays how they are divided what is their saying now a days. Just pick up Quraan and Sunnah and follow it you will satisfy your self and your questions, if you posted it real. If you just want to creat propoganda no problem still my saying will be same

Sara, you are right. All children are born muslim. In some parts of the world.
But in other parts of the world, all children are born christian. In others hindu, jewish, etc.
And they all live well until they start fighting about which religion is the right one.
I suggest we all think about that before claiming that our religion is the ONE AND ONLY right religion. Tolerance goes a long way. And in this case can save a lot of human lives. (Isn't this what religion should be about, anyway?)
to Kavalas: I am safe in my boat which is islam I am just trying to remind the confused people who are in the wrong boat, and have forgot the right path (as siraat al mustaqeem) ....im inviting them come to the right boat so they can reach the right destiantion
actually,what's this about Pork being forbidden in christianity?? Looks like untrue to me.
In the Testament and Bible also it is written that pork is very dirty animal so it is forbiden by some Apostols, then the veil aslo it is mentioned there as well as we think that Maryam (ra) the mother of Jessus(ra) were wearing the veil,also many other things which we muslims we have it ! Go on and read more abt it if u interesting in religions comparation.
I think the whole point of the initial post is to show that religions are not THAT different afterall. No religion is better than other religions. I plea for tolerance. I personally think that one is a great man that can say outloud that his religion is just as good as all the rest. This shows that he posses the great virtue of humility. That he doesn't feel the need to be right all the time.

No food is forbiten to Christians ,since all created by God.
