What is Dubai municipality doing with regards to bachelor's accomodation? I have also read that the present rent in Dubai has sky rocketed, is it true?

It's hard to understand why so many Asians in Dubai are willing to live with such compromise - discrimination, low pay, bizzare living conditions.. Surely, there are many other better places to work and have a better life.
i see no problem with partititoning rooms if it is done in a non-permanent way, for example, putting curtains.. so many people live like this in Dubai. Oh, Dubai - city of glamour....
aside from the fact that the rent in Dubai goes sky high, it is also the salary that the companies are giving to its employees forces them to avail the shared accommodation. Most salaries are not enough to live in a place with a high cost of living as Dubai. I believe the government should set a minimum wage that would make the people live comfortably that would allow them to be flexible with the high cost of living, not to mention the yearly inflation rate that always goes high.
