Hallo everyone,
I have been in Dubai a few times on business, and I would like to move there. I am interested in getting prices for a 1 or 2-bedroom apartment around Dubai Marina are or Jumeirah or somewhere near those two neighbourhoods. I would like to purchase fully the appartment not leasehold. Which construction developer would you recommend?
Thank you very much.

You can check rent prices at www.GNAds4U.com
As far as I know anybody may purchase a property in Dubai without restrictions but only for the 99 years' lease. I think it depends on location of the property. Dubai Marina and Jumairah Beach Residence goes with full ownership. The biggest builders are Nakheel, Emaar and Dubai Proeprties.
You can buy a property but it will be on a renewable leasehold (falsely called freehold in Dubai --they played with the words.)
Let say you buy an apartment in JBR on the 15th floor and in 20 years, the building is torn down because of some serious structural faults -- you will only have the rights to the piece of air that is 15 floors up in the air, you have no rights to the ground that the building was was constructed on.
Nakheel, Emaar are big names because the government owns them, and protects them, even though they are not unknown for slipshod work, not delivering on time what was contractually promised etc. They are in financial sh*t nowadays.
Regarding the prices a one bedroom apartment in Marina or Jumierah Lake towers goes for about Aed 700,000 or less. A 2-bedroom apartment would be less than a million dirhams. IMHO it's still expensive!
I know of a person who bought a nice 2 bed + maid's room in Marina for AED 1.6 million /freehold. It looks really lovely. The developer is Trident.
thank you very much peopel!
I guess the other have answered your questions, but I was going to ask you about the moving. At the moment where do you live? Wouldn't it be a little bit hard to move all your stuff? I noticed there are some nice int'l moving companies that must be doing a great job. I would trust them.
