I'd like to find out what the laws regarding my partner moving out with me are. It is to my knowledge that he can get a tourist visa for up to 30 days, but what if he stays permanently?
Also, will there be restrictions against looking for work while in Dubai?

Police don't spend their t knocking on time asking around for marriage certificates.
sure they don't - but what if you fall out of favour with your neighbour or office colleague in some way. Someone could always take the moral ground and make an issue, call the police.....
theoretically, the police can raid your home, but I haven't heard of any of my acquaintances experiencing or hearing any of this happenign. .. well unless you go make out at the beach like the "famous" Brits did
