It was on the radio last night - apparently it was after a question Sheikh Mo asked on his Facebook page and the result was a resounding plea for schools to start after Ramadan. go figure!
MoE is federal and covers the UAE.
The last official statements issued said all public and private schools that (and this is the part that some of the Arab media as well as gulf news have misinterpreted) follows the National Curriculum will open after Ramadan.
Private schools following other curricula than the National is EXCLUDED and will commence during Ramadan.
