what can I use instead of Skype in Dubai?

hey people, I know Skype is banned in Dubai ( i guess because it "robs" Etisalat and Du of their revenues on long distance calls) Can anybody recommend any other web application or way to talk cheaply to my family back home?

The official site of Skype is blocked in the UAE but it doesn't mean you can't download it some other way. All this block this site, block that site, censorship, control is kinda pathetic, but one gets used to that, and finds ways...

mistow_77, skype website is blocked for etisalat users , not for du , but again if you want call Du then problems.. use hotspot http://hotspotshield.com/

i think it is a problem to download skype from dubai but if you travel outside of uae take your laptop, download skype and then when you come back, you will have no problem using skype in uae
