The cost of travelling on the new Dubai Metro, which launches in September, will range between 80 fils and AED5.80, transport chiefs announced on Monday. Is it a good price? What do you think? I think it's OK, better than what taxis would charge me on my usual route.

This fare is fine with me having in mind it's a hell of a ride with NO driver!!! It SHOULD be cheap!
I see they are comparing the fares to London.. Why? Why not compare with Delhi or Mumbai? Do they think Dubai is a European city?????
The Dubai Metro fares are quite reasonable I believe. Dubai makes things happen. I was waiting for 9/9/9 but apparently it's all ready now.
