Guys i have a dear friend who will be staying a couple of weeks at our place while we are away. What does he have to do so he can drive (legally!) in Dubai?

well. your friend can rent a car, and drive without any problems, but of course he must be a citizen (or a national of any one of the twenty something visa-at-arrival countries like the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and quite a few European countries.

one thing is sure. he CAN'T use yur car. You can't drive a Dubai registered car on a foreign driving license. But...there are so many taxis ..... some of them ruse, some of them arrogant, some of them stinky but none of them are boring
