I found these picture just recently, but I know they are not new. Sorry if anybody of you has already seen them. It's very interesting to see what people around the world eat in a week, and specially to see how much that costs. I myself think the fact that a US or UK family pays 200 or 300 dollars a week for food, doesn't mean they eat healthy food, most of it is pure JUNK, you will see.

very interesting indeed!! i feel quite sad for the American and British family. Spending so much, getting so little nutritional value! so much mcdonalds cr*p they are proud to display!!

Nice pics!. good to show diet differences based on culture and location. It's interesting to see German families with so many beer and other bottles,a dn so much fish with the Japanese family.

really sad for the Chad people in the refugee camp. they are heroes if they can live on so little food. the mother must be an excellent budget setter

i would probably pass out if I were in Chad, but on the other hand, I recognize that these people have a different metabolism - the human body adjusts to the amounts of food you give it. But as a general rule (for Westerners) the less you eat, the better.

lots of meat and eggs for the Mongolian family, I guess up there in North Asia not many vegetables are growing.
