Living day by day, travelling around the globe and following where the money is!
Never hanging around long enough to build solid relationships!
Making good friends yet breaking everyone's hearts as we know we've got to leave!
When we take a liking to someone, we know there is no point in
asking them out as we won't be around long enough to make it work!
We all make our money, but what about the important things in life? Love and Friendship!
Is the life of a single expat worth it?

following where the money is?? I've never ever followed where the money is. I am
following my heart... I think money will come, more money or less money. Money comes and goes (it's better if it comes of course) but the heart is permanent.
would love to be an expat in Dubai. to be able to work with all the different cultures there,, and get some good money for my sweat
Live in the moment, in the now, nobody knows what tomorrow will bring, so do ask people out, build friendships, and if the one and only comes along, you will know, and if the other party does too, you will find a way. Good luck.
mefisto, you couldn't be more right about an expat's life. however, it doesn't always have to be that way. I, for example, am an expat too, and don't live much in one place. Even in my home country, I haven't stayed much in one city. So according to a funny interpretation of the word expat, I was an expat in my own country too.
But then my expatriate life has found me many people I hold close to my heart. Rather, i found my to-be wife and my love the same way.
One thing about being an expat, who lives in places for short periods, is that he/she doesn't trust others much, because they feel they have to leave one day anyway. But I guess it is the trust factor that can find you many people. Some bad but mostly good.
The world is round as science has proved it . Who knows you might bump into a person you might years ago in Dubai or Bahrain or Qatar.
Live the life to the full mate!!!!
