Is Dubai a melting pot as it is advertised?

I've been to Abu Dhabi recently and noticed that it is much more of a melting pot than Dubai. I've seen peopl eform different nationalities having lunch together, barbeques, what not... You see Europeans, Australians, Filipino, Arabs, Indians all mixing together.

Here, you've got Karama for the Indians, Marina for the Westerners, etc.... What's up with Dubai?

Abu Dhabi is much smaller, therefore people from different cultures interact more, or rather, it's just unavoidable.
