There is so much hype surrounding the construction of this building, but does anyone believe it will officially open on Sept 09, 2009? Or will we witness a ceremony for partial construction and fit-out? I personally am not holding my breath as they announced yesterday that the cranes will come down in August and then they will start working on the interior fit-out.
Do you think Burj dubai will be ready by the 09/09 2009?

I believe it will be soft-launched on 9-9-9 - some floors will still be worked on. The interior is being done 24/7. This project is too important for Dubai Inc. to fail at meeting the 3rd deadline (!) they set for themselves.
