Do you think G8 is really interested to save the planet?

Here we go again! It's always the bull-shit about saving the planet's environment... it's the huge will to save the world against the greedy need to keep their balance of trade in equilibrium...
Once more, I ask, are the wealthy countries of the world really interested in the planet's environment equilibrium, ridiculously proposing the end of Ozone gas (O2) emission till 2050... ? Only time will tell!
So, take part on this discussion, I think it's time for us to stop faking that we are saving only by consuming recyclable products.

there's more to saving the planet which is clearly in danger (climate change has resulted in floods, other natural disasters and definitely an increase in global temperatures) than just using recycled products. How about using oil/gasoline more efficiently and at the same time come up with viable soluttions for deployment of alternative sources of energy - renewable energy - solar power, wind power... One day we will surely drive electrical cars, but this day has to come sooner... I believe oil companies and oil-producing nations (UAE being one of them) are (obviously) not interested in the end of the Oil Era... but oil prices are so high, record hig, these days that the incentive is there for smart companies to come up with new ways of powering your car... Demand for oil will go down , at least in the West
Yes, texclaus, it is absolutely ridiculous for the G8 to propose a reduction in greenhouse emissions by 50% by 2050... It would have been more prudent to set 2020 as a deadline.
On the other hand, people deserve their leaders... If people don't like these things, people should protest vehemently/
Thanks for you comments Mirkat... I think that if we all keep on discussing these subjects on environment, showing the real intentions of worldwide leaders, I guess most of the people all over the world are gonna get aware about the real situation of the planet we´re living... we´re gonna see that they can be giving us something, but, in the other hand, they are taking much much more from us all.
