Renting an apartment in Dubai

Hi guys,
I`ll soon be coming for work in Dubai and would be very interested in how high the prices are for renting a small apartment with let's say 2 bedrooms, regardless of the neighborhood . Would it be cheaper to stay at a hotel for a period of 3 months?
Any help and internet sources that can clarify my question is much appreciated, either in English or Arabic.
