Certificate Verification

Hi,
will all the degree certificates has to be verified for genuiness before or after applying or joining a job. how long will it take for this process. is there any advantage of getting it verified from the competent authority. we read in newspapers for many violation in this issue. what are the consequences. when is this going to be getting compulsary for all expats. whom should one approach for any queries/complaints.

SSC & HSC requires certificate attestation from home country ministry of foreign affairs, UAE Embassy, then it will be verified in UAE to use such document.
There are few procedures related to getting attestation before getting Foreign Affairs stamp, which differs from country to country.
Your degree attestation relates to your trade/job title. You profession decides whether you need attestation/verification and which degree to be used for this purpose.
Most of your questions are related to UAE labour department and your ministry of manpower/Embassy staff can also guide for this.
